Membership

Anyone who shares the aims and principles of the association may apply for membership.

Who can join?

Statute, Article 4

Any natural or legal person with legal capacity who accepts the aims and principles of the association, agrees to work towards them and is not barred from membership by law.
Foreign natural persons must have the right of residence in Türkiye (not required for honorary membership).
Persons who have made significant contributions to the association and to science may become honorary members by board decision; honorary members do not vote in the general assembly.

Statute, Articles 4, 7

Applications are made to the board in writing (or electronically where the law permits).
The board decides within 30 days at most and notifies the applicant in writing.
A rejected applicant may appeal to the first general assembly.

Members have equal rights and are obliged to comply with the statute and the decisions of the association’s bodies and observe scientific ethics.

Member data are processed in accordance with Turkish Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698.
